Pacific Dunes Golf Course is located at Championship Drive at Medowie in Port Stephens. To describe it as a magnificent course would be an understatement. The course is challenging but you don't have to have a sub 10 handicap to enjoy it. The layout is well marked but I would have liked a fairway diagram for each hole. For example, on the first hole you cannot see the water before the green until you move well down the fairway. The course has lots of demanding fairway bunkers and some of these are quite deep. The cafe serves a nice lunch so take a break mid way through your 18 hole round. Bookings can be made by telephoning the Pro Shop on 4916-0500.
