Goolabri Resort and Golf Course is situated in a delightful valley just near the ACT border at Sutton. The course is great fun to play and makes no pretensions about the lack of the grass on the fairways which are starved because of prolonged drought. Take a preferred lie or tee up on the fairway to overcoming is limitation. The course is undulating, has magnificent views and some handy water traps to keep you on your toes. The layout is very good and a large population of kangaroos and wallabies come and go. Watch for hole 3 which has a hidden water trap out of sight from the tee area. You need to hit between the two trees to make it to the green without penalty. The course is very relaxing and rewards accurate hitting. Balls that do go astray are usually easily found unless taken by a crow.
